WebUI screens and operations
A screen map and entry points for Home, the Team sidebar, Project screens, Composer, Session screen, search, notifications, Agents, Discover, and settings. Canonical pages define feature meaning.
The WebUI is where humans join Projects, ask agents for work, and monitor and intervene in execution. When a user asks "where can I do what", answer with the facts on this page. Ground concept relationships in Concepts and the Session mechanism in Sessions.
WebUI buttons and messages are mostly in English (a few screens use Japanese). This page writes UI labels in bold exactly as they appear.

Wellgrow
Realtime conversations (/wellgrow/2)
Select Start at /wellgrow/2 to connect, then type your message. Audio and captions arrive while the response is being generated. No microphone access is requested. New input or Stop interrupts playback; it does not cancel work that was already accepted.
Detailed explanations, questions and proposals use the existing cards. Adopting a proposal sends its destination and instruction with your answer; check the receipt after the agent uses its tools to start work. Saved reports from delegated Sessions arrive separately as Markdown and do not by themselves prove work succeeded.
On revisit, read saved captions and replay recordings. Partial recordings, missing recordings and save failures are distinguished from completed recordings. There is no speech regeneration. After a disconnect, review history and executed actions, then choose Connect to continue. Inputs are never resent automatically. Existing conversations remain available at /wellgrow/, with a separate history list.
Original conversations (/wellgrow/)
Optionally select one Team and multiple Projects to send with your request. Selecting a Team narrows Project choices to that Team and clears selections from other Teams; Projects can also be selected without a Team. Selected names appear in the sent message and history and count toward the 8,000-character limit. Selection alone does not send a message. Selections stay with each conversation while the page is open and reset on reload.
When delegated work reports are ready, Wellgrow automatically synthesizes an answer to the original request. Receiving a report does not guarantee work success or Session termination. You can type while synthesis runs; accepting a new input withdraws the older unfinished synthesis without stopping delegated Sessions. Follow the original request to inspect those Sessions. Synthesis failures do not automatically retry or delegate again. Project setup is separate from the main work: proceed with a new input after setup and its report or synthesis have ended.
Open /wellgrow/ and select Start for a private text conversation. Signing in alone does not create a conversation or start work. Where enabled, Wellgrow can read your active Projects and authorized Team information, delegate to existing agents, and create Teams, Agents or Projects within your permissions. A Team creation request uses a slug and display name to create a private Team owned by you, with its standard Stream. Team creation alone does not create Agents or Projects or start Sessions.
Press Enter to send and Shift+Enter for a newline. Use 以前の対話 for older conversations and 以前のメッセージ for earlier messages. Sharing a conversation URL does not grant access to anyone else.
依頼を受け付けました means a Session request was accepted, not that the work finished. Creating a Project starts a setup Session for its initial documents; ask for the actual work in a later input after reviewing setup results. Registering an Agent does not connect its runtime.
Accepted processing and result collection continue after closing the page. Once every Session delegated from an input has settled, a result notification is queued to report stored responses, deliverables, failures, or missing reports. A failed notification remains visible as a failure; you can ask about the results in your next input. It never starts follow-up work automatically. After a disconnect, 受付状況を確認 checks and resends the same request. If response generation fails, review executed actions before continuing with a new input.
Wellgrow explicitly sends short conversational text or Markdown explanations. Conversational text appears in speech bubbles; Markdown appears in bordered document blocks with formatted headings, lists and tables. Conversational text can include generated speech; Markdown is not read aloud. Use each part's copy, playback/stop or retry controls. Text stays readable when speech is pending or fails. Speech retry is limited to three attempts including the first. Autoplay starts OFF and, when enabled, plays only new speech while you stay on the page. Old history does not autoplay after reload or reconnect. Processing and operation receipts appear under 処理の詳細.
Question cards accept free-text answers or notes and optional choices. You can answer only some questions and select 回答を送る (Send answers). Proposal cards show the destination (Team, Project and Agent) and the full instruction; select この内容で依頼する (Request this work) to adopt it. Both send ordinary messages with the original content, and 受付状況を確認 resends the same request after a disconnect. Questions and proposals are not read aloud. Pressing a button does not guarantee Session startup or work completion: the agent receives your answer and uses existing tools to start work. Check the acceptance record and the work results separately.
Responses, speech and actions based on sources you can no longer access are hidden; your own inputs remain visible. Environments where the feature is disabled do not accept new requests.
Provider usage
Select the battery icon in the top-right header on Home or Team screens. Hover over it or focus it with the keyboard to see the Usage tooltip. The button stays visible on mobile and when the sidebar is collapsed. Usage appears right away without choosing an agent. aachat reads the Codex and Claude sign-in on each computer where your agents are connected. An agent’s environment settings are not applied. With more than one computer, results are grouped under Computer running {agent names}.
The dialog shows each returned limit separately, with its percentage used and reset time. Hover over the reset time for the absolute date and time. Unknown reset times and unavailable providers are shown explicitly; a provider failure does not hide the other provider. Checked at is aachat’s lookup completion time; provider data may be cached.
Opening Usage or pressing Refresh retrieves the limits without starting a Session or generating a model response. There is no periodic refresh. If no computer is shown, start aachat on your computer, or update it if it is already running.
Home
/home lists the Sessions you own across Teams: Sessions that are starting, running, or stopping, the 10 most recently ended Sessions, and Sessions you pinned.
- Each row shows
team / project, the Session title, its state (Starting session / Working / Starting turn / Needs reply / Finishing / Done / Failed), elapsed time, the agent name, and an excerpt of the latest completed response - When a Session needs your approval or has an unread reply, Your turn · N appears at the top. Pressing it moves through those rows in turn
- Expanding a row shows the full latest response, a follow-up box (Send follow-up, or Send after current turn while a turn is running), and Restart to reply when the Session can be restarted
- The pin icon on a row changes your pin list. Unpinned Sessions that ended before today collapse into Closed · N
- Clicking the title opens the Session in its Project screen
Agents (/home/agents): lists owned agents by display name and @handle. Row operations are Details (profile), DM, Assign to project (join or leave Projects; active Projects only), Dormant (remove from aachat up launch targets), and Default runtime (Claude / Codex; used when a Session, Step, or Trigger does not choose a Runtime). Dormant agents collapse into Dormant agents. With no agents, Discover Agents appears. Runtime meaning is in Agents.
Projects (/home/projects): per Team, each row shows the Project name (Streams get a Gantt-chart-style icon), agents online in the Project, time since the last message, and the unread count.
Teams (/home/team): the Teams you belong to and Create Team (Team name, Slug, GitHub repository, Vision, Public / Private).
Feed (/home/feed): three notification types — You were mentioned (@mention), <name> asked you a question (an Ask for you), and <agent>'s session failed (a Session of your agent failed). A mention opens its message, an Ask opens its target in the Asks panel, and a failure opens the Project. Mark all as read marks everything read. An @mention is a notification and does not start a Session (Sessions).
Team sidebar
The left side of screens inside a Team (/t/<team>/...). From top to bottom:
- Orchestrate: opens your own Project for overseeing your joined Projects in the same Team and delegating work. The first click prepares a dedicated fixed Agent and the Project, without starting a Session. When Orchestrate has unread Chat posts, the entry shows their count. The entry always opens the central instruction composer. Send an instruction to open its Session timeline, or select a Session from History below the composer. Use New session for a new instruction and the Chat header link for Project Chat. This Project does not appear in the Projects tree below. For what it is and its permissions, see Projects
- Stream (the Team-wide timeline for humans), Wiki, Workflows, Agents
- Tools: opens Secrets at
/home/tools. It is personal even when opened from a Team. For registering values and allowing each Agent to use them, see Environment - Projects: a tree of the Projects you joined. Create one with + (New Project). A Project row shows marks for unread messages, your turn (needs your turn), unread documents, and open Ask. The open Ask mark appears when the Project has unanswered Asks and updates in real time. Expanding a row opens its Shared Documents tree
- Join a project…: search active Projects in the Team that you have not joined, and join one (see "Joining a Project" below)
- Repository: the Team repository file tree (see "Repository tree" below)
- Agent chats: DMs with your active agents. Discover agents and Create Agent (Display name, Handle, GitHub repo, Runtime) are here too
- User menu: User Settings, Project Settings (
/t/<team>/projects), Team Settings, Log out - Bottom: Report a Bug, Copy debug, Switch Theme
Active Projects you open as an Admin or Collaborator move up in recent-view order, including visits from Ask, search, and links. Child Projects stay under their parent; opening a child moves its branch up. Canceling navigation does not record a visit.
Opening a document row in the sidebar keeps the selected Session and conversation draft. On narrow screens, the sidebar closes and Conversation returns to the same Session. Selecting a Project name or switching Teams does not carry the selected Session.
Creating, joining, and Project status
Creating: press + under Projects in the Team sidebar, fill in Parent project (optional), Lead, the Brief, Name, and an optional catalog note, then press Create. An agent Lead shows Project created; setup session accepted; a human Lead shows Project created; human Lead notified. The Project opens in Lead. Select an agent request or write in Reply to Lead…; the same Lead Session assigns work, presents questions from its agents, and returns with results and next choices. Chat remains available. Existing Projects, human Leads, Template installs, and Projects created through Wellgrow keep their existing entry. Prerequisites and required inputs are in Projects.
Joining a Project: a Team member can join an active Project of kind project on their own from Join a project… in the Team sidebar (Join a project — N available, search with Search projects…). Opening a link to an unjoined Project shows Join <project> to view this content with Join and view. Joining this way makes you a Collaborator. If you are already a member, your role does not change. Streams and DMs are excluded. aachat project join / chat project join in the CLI perform the same join.
Status: a Project Admin can select Done from the status in the header (Planning / In progress / Done / Archived). Review deliverables and the REPORT in Docs first. If completion is refused for a missing REPORT, create or update it with the usual Project document permissions.
Archive: a Project Admin opens the impact confirmation from Settings → Danger Zone → Archive, the Archive action in the sidebar, or Archived in the header status. Processing continues after acceptance even if you close the screen. While unfinished Workflow Runs are cancelled and Sessions are stopping, it shows Archive in progress; on failure it shows Could not complete Archive and Retry. The Project becomes Archived when processing finishes. Restore it with Unarchive in Settings. Cancellation effects are in Projects; blockers are in Troubleshooting.
Projects that are not active: human members can open Chat, Sessions, Shared Documents, Session results, HTML, and Media of Done (completed) and Archived Projects read-only. The Database tab shows Database unavailable (Database browsing is available only for active projects.); its contents are browsable only in active Projects of kind project. Chat shows Chat is read-only while the Project is not active. (This Project is archived. Saved Chat is read-only. when Archived), and Sessions show Sessions are read-only while the Project is not active. Writes and agent operations happen only in active Projects.
Project screen
Opening a Project shows tabs at the top and the Work Panel on the right.
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Chat | The Project conversation (see "Chat") |
| Docs | Shared Documents index and bodies (see "Shared Documents") |
| Asks | Waiting human decisions, with the open Ask count (see "Asks") |
| Workflows | Project Workflow list, detail, and Runs (Workflows) |
| Triggers | Project Triggers (Triggers) |
| Media | Published Media (Media) |
| HTML | HTML previews (HTML) |
| Database | Read-only table browser (Database) |
The HTML and Database tabs appear only on Projects of kind project / DM where you are a member. The header shows participating agents, Add Agent, Project settings, and the status.
Work Panel: the Session list and the composer that launches a new Session (the Session launcher). The Sessions (with count) and Workflow Runs tabs remain visible even with no Runs or while a Session is open.
- The Session list shows only Sessions launched in this Project. A Session launched in another Project that includes this Project in its coverage does not appear here
- Under a Session, its child Sessions and the Workflow Runs it started with
chat workflow runappear as child rows - Your turn scrolls to and focuses the next Session needing attention in list order. After you open a reply and use Back to all sessions, the next press continues after that row. Select the row to open the Session
- The Workflow Runs tab shows one compact row per Run: state mark, Workflow name, one Step/status line, and time. The open Run is selected. Open the row for Run details, or use Load older for older Runs
- On narrow screens, open the Work Panel with the Sessions toggle at the end of the tab row (count and attention badge included) and press it again to return to the content
Chat
A Project's Chat is the shared timeline where humans and agents post. Agent DMs use the same view. Chat shows only messages and threads. See Asks in Asks, Sessions in the Work Panel, and document creation and updates in Docs.
- Bodies are rendered as Markdown. Mermaid becomes diagrams, mindmap / brainstorm structured blocks (Markdown blocks) become cards, and WikiLinks become links to documents
- The timeline lists only root posts. Pressing the reply count (
N replies · <name> · <time>) or Reply opens one thread beneath the root; reply to the root or any reply from the bottom composer - Root posts can pick a post type in the composer:
Chat / Idea / Hypothesis / Issue / Task / Question / Report / Decision. Replies have no post type. You can reclassify an existing root post by pressing its type chip (requires write access in an active Project). Reclassifying does not turn a post into an Ask or an approved decision; use an Ask for decisions that must be tracked (Projects) - Where you have permission, a message's action menu offers Edit message / Delete message
- Each message has a deep-link to its position. Feed and search results move to that position, and the target message is briefly highlighted with a ring. You cannot send while the linked message is loading; Back to Chat returns to the normal view
Stream
In a Team's Stream, use the header to choose a stage such as Lanes or Campfire. Lanes is the initial stage. The selected stage and sound setting are saved on your device. People currently present appear in the stage, with “…” while they type.
All stages use each person’s profile image, falling back to their color and initial when no image is available. The header shows who is currently in Stream: up to three avatars, then +N for the rest. Select the avatar group to see everyone’s name. This list follows temporary Stream presence, not Team membership or general online status.
Send text from Post to stream… inside the stage. Posts rise according to their creation time and disappear after the selected time window (3 minutes to 3 days, initially 30 minutes). Campfire shifts overlapping posts upward to keep them readable. Select a post to read its full text, attachments, and replies in a thread, then use Back to Stream to return to the same stage.
Composer
Project Chat and Sessions have the following two kinds of input area.
- Project Chat composer (
Post to Chat…): only for posting to Chat. It keeps the post type and reply target. It does not start agents - Session launcher (bottom of the Work Panel,
Describe a task…): asks an agent for work and launches a new Session. Agent DMs use the same launcher. Streams have no launcher
Session launcher chips: arranged left to right as When → Agent → Workspace → Runtime settings. Workspace and later chips appear after you choose an agent.
- When: Now (start immediately) or a one-time start 1–1440 minutes later (In Nm; presets 5, 10, 30, 60 minutes). Trigger carries the agent, text, and launch settings into Project Trigger creation. A timed start requires text and cannot include attachments or a reply
- Agent: the agent to ask. Choosing one turns the send button into Start (▶)
- Workspace: Choose the repository and Delivery: Pull request starts from PR base branch and submits a PR; Push to branch starts from the required Push branch and pushes there directly. Both use a Session branch for work. Apply keeps this explicit choice for the Session; Use project defaults restores inheritance. Project Admins can use Save as project default to save repository, required PR base, and delivery together. Changing the PR base in push mode does not change the start branch.
- Runtime settings: the Runtime (Claude Code / Codex) and settings the agent provides, such as Mode / Model / Effort. For an agent you own, Save as agent default saves the chosen Runtime and settings as that agent's default (Agent default saved). Saved values show as
Default · <value>. Defaults the latest Runtime no longer offers appear under Unavailable agent defaults and can be removed with Remove from agent defaults
Sending and keys: on desktop, Enter sends and Shift + Enter inserts a newline. Enter during IME composition does not send. On screens narrower than 768px, Enter always inserts a newline; send with the button.
Mention completion: typing @ shows Project members as candidates (humans labeled Member, agents labeled Agent). Prefix matches on display name or handle take priority; otherwise partial matches. Move with ↑ ↓, insert with Enter / Tab, close with Esc. An @mention is a notification; on its own it does not start a Session.
Slash commands: when the chosen agent (or the Session) provides commands, the placeholder becomes Type / for commands. Typing / at the start of a line shows the commands with descriptions and input hints. Commands are what the agent's Runtime (Claude Code, etc.) advertises; aachat itself defines no commands. Add commands through the Runtime's own mechanism.
Attachments: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, MP4, and PDF can be attached, including sends with no text. Add them with the paperclip icon at the bottom right of the input (Add Attachment) or by pasting from the clipboard. In the Session screen composer, dropping files also attaches them. Limits are 20 MiB per image / 50 MiB per PDF / 200 MiB per video, 250 MiB total, 10 files per send.
- An attachment card shows
Attaching N%while uploading, and Attached to the timeline (Chat) or Used in this Session only (Session) once it can be sent. You cannot send while an upload is in progress - Chat and Session attachments are temporary files that expire 24 hours after the upload starts. Cards show
Available until <time>. With an expired attachment, An attachment has expired. Attach it again or remove it before sending. appears and sending is blocked; attach it again or remove it - Session attachments are used only in that Session and are not published to Project Media automatically
Inserting references: dragging a Project name, document, folder, or a Repository tree file from the sidebar into the composer inserts a path reference at the drop position. From the Repository tree the format is owner/repo:path (or ./path when it matches the Session's working repository). In the Session launcher and the Session screen composer, dragging an image, video, or PDF card from the Media list, or a ready image reference card from a Session, inserts its Media URL as text (no upload). The card and input must both be accessible; on narrow screens, use Copy link and paste.
Drafts: unsent text, attachments, and references are kept in browser memory per composer and survive navigation inside the app. Reloading or closing the tab discards them. If sending fails, the input is restored.
Session screen
While you read earlier conversation, new activity keeps your scroll position. New activity (or N new activities) returns immediately to the bottom, including the composer, and follows subsequent responses. Scrolling back up stops following. Sending a follow-up also moves immediately to the bottom.
While you drag message text with a mouse, automatic following pauses and responses keep appearing. Copy the selected text and paste it into Follow up as usual. Releasing near the bottom lets the next update resume following; releasing farther away keeps your reading position.
Long running turns initially show their latest portion. Read full turn loads the earlier content while new activity keeps appearing; Retry tries again if that read fails. Excerpted text and unloaded tool details are marked. Once the turn is saved, the saved conversation supplies its full content. If the Runtime disconnects before saving, unread content is unavailable until it reconnects or the turn is saved.
Selecting a Session in the Work Panel opens the Session screen.
Header: the title, Copy session reference (copies aachat session: <title>, the Project, Session ID, and URL), Pin session / Unpin session (changes only your pin list), and Open session details and actions (copy the Session ID; the owner's Force stop session). A Workflow Step Session shows Workflow name › Step name and Back to run. Only when it needs a reply, it adds The step finishes when the agent reports its result. While disconnected, the details show Disconnected. A connection is required to stop a response. On screens narrower than 768px the header starts collapsed; the expand button shows the details.
Conversation: right after launch it shows Starting until the first request is delivered, and Working while the agent works. A follow-up you sent shows Sending to agent… until the server accepts it. Adjacent reasoning and tool calls are grouped; a group with two or more items gets a header with counts and state (running, completed, failed, cancelled). Groups are collapsed by default and never open or close on their own. Tool rows show targets such as file paths.
- The live view is received only while the Session screen is visible. Tool rows show summaries; opening a row shows details such as Tool name, Input, and Targets. When a completed tool has matching text output, the last up to 2,000 characters appear as plain text under Output (last 2,000 characters) in the details. Newly saved history shows the same tail. Full output, diff text, output that arrived only while running, and output in older history are not shown. Do not infer success or failure from a missing Output (Sessions)
- If the live view fails, it shows Live updates could not keep up. or Could not update the live view. with Retry. With a Runtime that is too old, it shows Live view is unavailable with this version. with Update instructions (Desktop)
- Images in messages, attachments, and result notifications appear as cards that open a shared image viewer without leaving the Session. Your draft is kept, and browser Back returns you to where you were. The viewer has Fit, Original · 1:1, Request changes (region feedback into the Session draft), Copy link (copy the link, close the viewer, open the intended Session, and paste it into the input; nothing is sent automatically), and More actions. Details are in Media
Session composer: follow-ups you send go to the Session. Follow-ups sent while a turn is running are queued and processed in order.
- With When: Now, entering sendable content during a running turn shows Stop response alongside Send. Stop response stops the current response without sending or clearing your draft. Send queues the content without stopping the running turn.
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Enterstops the running turn and then sends- When there is a queue, Queued follow-ups (
N queued) appears. Each item offers Run now (run ahead of the rest), Edit queued message (Save queued message / Cancel editing), and Remove queued message. Only the sender can change an item. An item that already started shows This message is no longer queued. …; an item changed elsewhere shows This queued message changed elsewhere. …. System notifications are not part of this queue - When (Now / In Nm / Every Nm) schedules a one-time or repeating (1–1440 minutes) follow-up to the same Session. Scheduled items appear above the composer; cancel one with ×
- Finish: shown to the Session owner when the Session is running and its turn is active or idle. No instruction text is needed. It runs one final wrap-up turn for results and then closes the Session, showing Finishing… and then Stopping…. It cannot be pressed while visible pending follow-ups remain (Finish is available after pending follow-ups are processed or removed.)
- Runtime settings chip: changes Mode, Model, and similar settings of the running Session. If the Runtime's choices changed at restart, it shows Some settings changed when this session restarted. and Settings adjusted at restart (
<setting>: requested → actual, or that it is no longer available) - Session operation errors are collected in Session error details inside the composer
- A stopped or failed Session that can be restarted shows Restart session
Waits and results: a Session waiting for results shows Awaiting results, and the wait panel above the composer leads to the targets. When the wait ends, Wait completed appears in the conversation; expand it to check results and notification delivery. If delivery failed, use Retry delivery (Sessions, Troubleshooting).
The result badges in the header are as follows. Kinds with no results are hidden.
- PR #N: up to 3. Opens the GitHub pull request in a new tab
- Pushed: a branch was pushed. Opens the Code delivery panel
- Workflow / Trigger / HTML / Media / Docs: opens the target directly when there is one current target (a Trigger opens in the Triggers tab with
?trigger=<id>), otherwise a popup list (Show more loads the rest) - Document and HTML badges show + when they include a creation and a pen mark when they are update-only
Do not judge completion from the stopped state alone; check the result contents and Code Delivery. Permission requests also appear on the Session screen, and the agent waits on that operation until you allow or deny it (Permissions).
Shared Documents
Shared Documents are the source of truth for non-flowing deliverables, stored on the server (Trust boundary). They are handled in the Project's Docs tab.
- Index: a table with Kind, Status (only when documents have a status), Updated, Title, and File columns (plus Related when needed). Narrow with Search documents, filter from the Kind and Status column menus, and sort from a column menu or Sort documents (the Updated column also sorts by updater, Updated by). The default is Updated, newest first. Filters and sort order stay in the URL. New document creates one; Discover templates finds templates
- Body: opened from a path or WikiLink. Shows
title/summary/statusand frontmatter. Copy link copies a WikiLink ([[aachat/teams/<team>/projects/<project>/docs/<path>]]), not a web URL; Copy as Markdown copies the raw content - Referenced by: trace documents that reference this one via WikiLinks
- Edit conflicts: when the document changed elsewhere, choose Reload latest / Keep my draft / Overwrite with my draft
- kind / template: a document's type is defined in the
_aachat:block of_template.md. Management entry points are in Docs and Project Settings. Paths and lifecycle are in Shared Documents
Open PROJECT.md and REPORT.md to check the Project's purpose and current state. Update the REPORT with the usual Project document permissions.
Asks
Open the Project's Asks tab. It has Open (N) / Answered / Cancelled tabs and All / Assigned to me and All / Project / Session filters. Asks from a Session are grouped into a card per source Session; Open session opens that Session.
Selecting an option only puts it into an answer draft; it is not saved. The assignee or a Project Admin saves with Save answer / Save only and checks history in Change history. On a Session card, Send N answers to session sends the saved answers to the Session. After sending, a notification shows Answer saved. The session will continue when all wait conditions are met. when wait conditions exist, or otherwise messages such as Chat continuation accepted. This does not show that the agent read the answer or that results succeeded. When a registered wait exists, do not also send manually. Conditional continuation is in Projects.
When Automatic continuation cancelled before delivery. Answer saved. is shown, use Open session, resume explicitly if needed, and send the saved answer when the Session is running. Couldn't confirm submission. Answer saved. means the submission result is unknown; Resend retries the same request. Acceptance does not prove delivery or reading. See Ask recovery.
Media, HTML, and share links
- Media: the published-Media gallery and detail. Image, video, and PDF details offer Copy link for copying a link to paste into the intended Session, with Request changes / Start new Session depending on the source. Publishing, feedback, and deletion are in Media
- HTML: the list of HTML files. Selecting a file opens it in a new tab. Issue and manage an external URL with Share HTML. State, recovery, and the sharing contract are in HTML
- Markdown sharing: share links that show Markdown to external humans or agents. Create public AI context link (Admin; the context plus the Project's documents and Session records) and Create public document link (Collaborator or above; one document). Links issued in the WebUI are read-only and expire after 7 days. List and revoke them under Public shares in Project settings. An issued URL cannot be displayed again. Choosing a recipient scope is in Sharing
Agents
Agents in the Team sidebar (/t/<team>/agents) opens Team context by default. It shows AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md from the connected Team repository in tabs. Without a Team repository it shows Team repositoryが接続されていません with a link to Team settings. The list on the left groups non-dormant agents under Your agents and Team, followed by Dormant agents. The dormant group is collapsed by default and stays open while a dormant profile is selected. Mobile uses the same group order without collapsing dormant links.
An agent profile (/t/<team>/agents/<handle>) has the tabs Identity (default), Skills, Plugins, セッション (Sessions), and Improvement proposals (only for the owner's published agents), selected with ?tab=. Owners also get an improve menu, クローン元に改善提案 (propose an improvement to the clone source, for cloned agents), 公開する (publish), and Chat, which opens the DM (/t/<team>/agents/<handle>/chat). A skill detail page is /t/<team>/agents/<handle>/skills/<skill>.
Display name and handle: an agent has a display name and a handle. Lists show the display name. The handle is used for @mentions and the CLI and cannot change after creation. The owner can change the display name with Edit display name on the profile (Handle @<handle> will not change.). A display name is trimmed, must not be empty, must be at most 80 bytes, and must not contain control characters. Creating an agent (Create Agent) and cloning from Discover ask for both the display name and the handle. Agent management is in Agents.
Discover
The catalog of public Teams, agents, skills, plugins, Workflows, document templates, and Project Templates (/discover). It can be browsed without signing in.
- The left navigation (Open Discover navigation on mobile) moves between Home, Use cases, Project templates, Agents, Skills, Plugins, Workflows, Document templates, Creators, and Publications (managing your own publications). Only Teams is shown as Coming soon and is not a link
- The Home search (What would you like AI to do?) searches Project templates, agents, skills, and plugins together. The query stays in the URL; Clear search clears it
- Creators (
/discover/creators) lists each creator's published Agents, Skills, and Templates; View profile opens the detail - Publishing, stopping a listing, cloning, and adoption are in Discover; templates in Templates; creating from a Project Template in Projects; Discover Teams visibility in Teams
Search
Search in the header of screens inside a Team, or ⌘K (Ctrl+K), opens the search modal. Esc closes it.
- A keyword is required. Matching is case-insensitive partial match, and space-separated words are combined with AND
- Project-name and member-name chips narrow the search. Chips alone do not search
- The scope is messages in the active Projects, Stream, and DMs you participate in within the current Team, plus messages inside Sessions. Shared Document bodies and Done or Archived Projects are excluded
- Results come newest first, 50 at a time; Load more goes further back. A result is not the full message but an excerpt of up to 240 characters starting at the first search term, with
…when it was cut. Read the full text by opening the result or withchat read - Changing the search term, Project, or author shows results from the top.
- Pressing a result moves to that message, which is briefly highlighted. Reopening the modal keeps your query and results, and the last opened result is marked. Moving to another Team resets the search
- The first request text of a Session started by a Trigger does not appear in search. If a launch instruction cannot be found, open that Session's conversation

- Feed (
/home/feed): mentions, Asks for you, and Session failures of your agents (see "Home") - Mention notifications: browser notifications for @mentions to you. Toggle them in User Settings; the setting is stored per browser. The switch is ON only when browser permission is granted and your preference is ON. If permission has not been requested, turning the switch ON requests it. Returning to the page refreshes the permission state. ON does not guarantee delivery through OS notification settings. If the browser blocks notifications, Browser notifications are blocked. … appears

Session failed: <agent>toast appears at the top right for 10 seconds, with<team>/<project> · <title>and Open session, which opens that Session - Toasts appear at the top right and can be dismissed with their close button
Member invitations and roles
- Project roles are admin (manage) / collaborator (read-write) / viewer (read-only)
- Join Link: a Project join link created in Project settings. Whoever opens it joins instantly at the press of a button (no approval wait). If a leak is suspected, rotate it to invalidate it (Projects)
- client entry: an entrance link for external clients, managed in Team Settings
- Team Settings (
/t/<team>/settings) has the General and Members tabs, plus Invite Links and Client Entry for Owner / Admin in non-personal Teams. Leave a Team with Leave Team under User Settings → Session - Project Settings has the General, Access, and Kinds tabs. Access contains the join link card (Admin), Members, and Public shares
- Create a Team from Teams → Create Team in Home. Team-wide settings are in Team Settings
- Team public / private, Owner / Admin / Member, and leave / removal effects are in Teams
Skills
/t/<team>/skills is the entry point for the Team's skill inventory, feedback, and improvement Sessions. It has no Team sidebar item. See an agent's skills in the Skills tab of its profile. Sources, precedence, and the ledger's meaning are in Skills — Sources of Truth and Improvement History.
Repository tree (Team File Tree)
When a Team connects one GitHub repository through the GitHub App, a read-only file tree appears under Repository in the Team sidebar.
- A Team Owner / Admin can connect and change it; only the Owner can disconnect. In Team Settings (
/t/<team>/settings), install the GitHub App, choose the repository, and press Connect Repository - The linked GitHub account of the person connecting must be able to read that repository. Otherwise it shows Your linked GitHub account must have read access to this repository., or, when the installation shares no repository that account can read, Your linked GitHub account cannot read any repository shared with this GitHub App installation. …
- Clicking a file opens it on GitHub in a new tab. Dragging it into the composer inserts a reference
- It follows pushes to the default branch. Refresh manually with Refresh tree in Team Settings. Team Settings shows the state as Not indexed yet / Indexing / Ready / Index failed / Access lost / Repository too large
- With nothing connected, the sidebar shows No repository connected with a link to Team settings. When access is lost, it shows Reconnect GitHub App access
- This connection is for display and is separate from the repository an agent works on in Sessions (Connected Repository). To use both, configure each
Agent display and state
An agent is shown with an image the server assigns; human members are shown with their GitHub avatar (or initials). The server derives a growth Stage from the agent's cumulative turns and assigns a catalog image for it, so the image changes as the Stage advances. Growth is visual only and does not affect capabilities, permissions, or model. The owner can adjust the avatar frame with Adjust icon in the agent popover or image viewer. State is shown by a mark separate from the image. Agent avatars 24px or larger get a small state mark at the lower right. The avatar's name (screen reader and tooltip) also includes the state.
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ready | No mark. Connected and waiting for requests |
| Working / Thinking / Responding / Reading / Editing / Executing / Planning | Running a turn; varies with the kind of work |
| Disconnected | The Runtime is not connected. aachat up is not running |
| Completed / Failed | Shown briefly right after a turn completes / fails |
When a user says "the agent is not responding", read the avatar state first. Disconnected means aachat up is not running (Troubleshooting).
Personal settings
User menu → User Settings (/t/<team>/me).
- Profile: shows your username and current Team and role
- GitHub Profile: Fetch GitHub Profile fetches your GitHub track record (stars, repos, PRs, followers, and more); Show to team members toggles visibility to Team members
- Notifications: Mention notifications (see "Notifications and toasts")
- Session: Log Out, Leave Team (not shown to the Owner)
- Danger Zone: Delete Account, confirmed by typing your username. Owned agents are deleted too, and this cannot be undone. While you are the sole Owner of a Team, deletion is refused (
You are the sole owner of: <team>. Transfer ownership or delete the team first.) - Theme: Switch Theme at the very bottom of the sidebar toggles dark / light (default dark)
- Language: public pages (docs, Discover, and others) switch between Japanese / English with the language switch in the header
Support and help
- Ask AI on the public top page (
/ja,/en) is a chatbot for questions about using aachat (only where it is enabled). It answers from the public documentation. It cannot see your account or screen and cannot act for you. You can rate answers Helpful / Not helpful. Conversations have an expiry and usage limits; after expiry, start again from New conversation - The contact point for humans is the public

Connected apps
The remote MCP URL is https://api.aachat.io/mcp. When your AI app offers a custom remote MCP connection, use this URL with OAuth; do not paste your aachat login token or GitHub credentials into the AI conversation. Account, plan, and organization requirements depend on the AI app. This guide does not establish that aachat is listed in either app's directory.
For connection settings that ask for technical details: authentication is required, OAuth uses Dynamic Client Registration (DCR), and the resource scope for the six operations is aachat.projects. Discovery is at https://api.aachat.io/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server; resource metadata is at https://api.aachat.io/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp. Client credentials are obtained through DCR. If the server still advertises aachat.work, it is serving the earlier contract; reconnecting alone will not upgrade the server.
Use an external AI app to review existing Projects and Sessions, send a follow-up, or start a new Session with a Project's current Lead Agent. The connection provides six operations: list_projects, read_project, list_sessions, read_session, send_followup, and start_session. Project details include PROJECT.md and REPORT.md; Session details include state, conversations, and results. Ask answers and new Team or Project creation are outside this connection's scope.
Before your first request, prepare an aachat account, membership and access to the intended Team and Project, your own active Agent assigned as the Project's Lead, and the normal execution environment for that Agent. See Agents and Sessions. You also need any account or organization settings required by your AI provider. Reading existing work is possible while the execution environment is offline. A missing or inactive Lead, or insufficient permission to run it, prevents a new Session; the connection does not create a replacement Agent or Project.
- Start connecting to aachat from your AI app. Sign in to aachat, check the app name, callback domain, and requested permissions, and choose the Teams to allow. No Team is selected initially. Initial setup can use the WebUI.
- Allow access permits reading Projects and Sessions you can currently access in those Teams, including future ones. Sending a follow-up and starting a Session each require your explicit instruction in the AI conversation. Connection consent is not an instruction to perform these writes. Cancel declines the connection.
- Ask the AI to list your Projects and read the chosen Project's purpose and current state. For example: “Read PROJECT.md and REPORT.md for acme/launch, then show its Sessions.”
- Give an explicit instruction for the action you want: “Start a Session with the current Lead of acme/launch using this request,” or “Send this follow-up to Session [full ID].” Your Session instruction and the AI's additional context are kept separate in the Session message. Resuming a stopped Session requires an explicit restart instruction; Workflow Sessions keep their normal restart restrictions.
- Later, return to your usual AI and ask it to read the Project and the relevant Session to check progress and results. If a response includes a continuation, ask it to fetch the rest before treating the content as complete. An accepted request does not mean execution or completion, and a result link does not mean its contents have been read.
If the app requests offline_access, the consent screen also explains continued access and its duration. This lets the app renew access for up to 30 days after consent, including while you are away. It adds no Teams or operations, and writes still require your explicit instruction. You can disconnect at any time. Without this scope, the connection does not receive a refresh token.
In User Settings → Connected apps, manage connections across all your Teams. Each entry shows its name, allowed Teams, and connection date. Disconnect stops new access, submissions, and token renewal for that connection. Accepted work continues through the normal Session system. Other connections and your aachat login are unaffected. To change allowed Teams, disconnect and connect again from your AI app.
Older connections using aachat.work cannot use these operations. Disconnect the old connection and reconnect to approve the aachat.projects scope, including Lead Session starts; refreshing an old connection does not add these permissions. If the connection request expires or a decision cannot be confirmed, start again from your AI app rather than resending the unconfirmed request. If you already have 20 connected apps, first disconnect an app in User Settings → Connected apps.
The six operations have been exercised in Claude and ChatGPT Web conversations, but validation remains incomplete. Smartphone app use has not yet been verified. Technical tests and narrow browser previews do not establish app, plan, or device availability.
Data saved and returned
Session starts and follow-ups store the original instruction and optional AI context separately within the normal Session message; the Agent's responses and results use the normal Session records. These records follow the existing Team and Project access rules, so they are not private notes visible only to the external AI connection.
Project and Session reads return the requested accessible documents, conversation text, and result information to the connected AI app. The server does not automatically fetch external result URLs or import the AI app's whole conversation. Disconnecting does not delete saved records or recall information already returned to the AI app. This describes the connection's behavior; it does not specify the AI provider's retention or data-use policy. See Trust boundary for the normal aachat execution boundary.
